3:45 pm: Some promising signs as the rain reduces but the danger of more dark clouds looms large.

3:20 pm: Rain has reduced now, the ground staff make their onto the ground to remove the covers and assess conditions.

3 pm: The rain has picked up as more covers come on. Toss further delayed.

2:45: Steady rain has returned just as toss was supposed to take place at 3 pm.

2:15: The rain seems to have relented as the covers are coming off at the DY Patil Stadium.

2 pm: A slight drizzle persists as the covers remain on.

1 pm: A steady drizzle around DY Patil now. The covers have come on.
