According to a report by Cricbuzz, an interesting deal seems to be happening between Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians under the trade window. In this, there is a plan to release India's experienced fast bowler Shardul Thakur from LSG and join Mumbai Indians. At the same time, MI's young all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar can be sent to Lucknow. However, this will not be a direct trade, but will be in the form of separate cash deals between the two franchises.

There are special rules for IPL trade window cash deals. If a team wants to take a player by paying him money equal to his original purchase amount, then this can happen. That means Mumbai Indians had bought Arjun for Rs 20 lakh. At the same time, Lucknow Super Giants had selected Shardul Thakur as a replacement player for Rs 2 crore. In such a situation, both the teams can buy players at the same salary.

Before this, he had played 4 matches while debuting in the year 2023. At the same time, he got a chance to play 1 match in 2024. That means he has played a total of 5 matches in IPL and has taken 3 wickets. As a batsman he has scored only 13 runs.
