Making his debut for India A, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a century in just 32 balls against UAE. He scored 144 runs in 42 balls and broke many Indian and global T20 records. This is the second fastest century of his career which shows his special talent.
Delhi: India’s young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi made history by playing an amazing innings in his debut match for India A. This 14 year old young batsman scored a century in just 32 balls against UAE in Doha and caught the attention of the world. Opening for the team captained by Jitesh Sharma, Vaibhav scored 144 runs in 42 balls, which included 11 fours and 14 sixes. This inning of his is jointly the second fastest among the fastest T20 centuries for India. Only Urvil Patel and Abhishek Sharma have scored centuries faster than him.
This century of Vaibhav is the sixth fastest T20 century in the world.

This is the second T20 century of Vaibhav’s career. Before this, he had scored a century in 35 balls for Rajasthan Royals against Gujarat Titans in IPL 2025. Suryavanshi has now become the first player in the world to score two centuries in 35 balls or less in T20 cricket. Earlier this record was in the name of Urvil Patel. Abhishek Sharma and David Miller are also included in this list.

Vaibhav has now also become the youngest player to score two T20 centuries. Earlier this record was in the name of France’s Gustave McKeon. This record was held by Unmukt Chand among Indian players.
At the age of 14 years and 232 days, Vaibhav has become the youngest player in the world to score a T20 century for a national representative team. He broke the record of McKeon who had achieved this feat at the age of 18.
Out of his 144 runs, Vaibhav scored 134 runs only with fours and sixes. This is equal to the highest number of runs scored by an Indian player from fours and sixes. Only Chris Gayle, Hazratullah Zazai and Graham Napier are ahead of him. Among Indian players, earlier this record was in the name of Punit Bisht.
Suryavanshi’s strike rate was 342.85, which is the fourth highest strike rate during 100+ scores in T20 cricket. Only Abhishek Sharma, Mohammad Fahad and Sahil Chauhan have had a higher strike rate than this.
This inning of his is also the fourth highest individual score for India in T20 cricket. Also, no Indian player had scored a T20 century for India A before.
