Jemimah Rodrigues made a brisk 12-ball 20 before falling during Brisbane Heat’s Women’s Big Bash League fixture against Hobart Hurricanes in Sydney on Saturday, a match the Hurricanes won by 16 runs (DLS). She was caught by Heather Graham off Lauren Smith in Heat’s DLS-adjusted chase of 125.
The innings followed her 15-ball 11 against Perth Scorchers earlier in the week. Rodrigues is coming off a triumphant Women’s ODI World Cup 2025, where India beat South Africa in the final in Navi Mumbai, and her unbeaten century in the semifinal against defending champion Australia proved decisive.
She finished the tournament with 292 runs at an average of nearly 60 and a strike rate of 100.She was recently retained by Delhi Capitals ahead of this year’s WPL auction.
