The IPL has officially confirmed that Arjun Tendulkar will represent Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the upcoming IPL season, completing his transfer from Mumbai Indians (MI). The bowling all-rounder moves at his existing fee of INR 30 lakhmarking the first franchise switch of his career.
Arjun was first picked by MI at the 2021 auction and made his IPL debut in 2023. Since then, he has featured in five IPL matches, taking three wickets at an economy rate of 9.36.
Reports earlier this week had already suggested that MI were preparing to release Arjun Tendulkar to LSG to allow him more playing opportunities. According to those familiar with the discussions, both teams had agreed on a trade structure beneficial for the 25-year-old left-arm pacer, who has been with MI since 2021.
Arjun played four matches in IPL 2023 before featuring briefly in the following season. Beyond the IPL, he began his T20 career for Mumbai in 2021, later shifting to Goa ahead of the 2022–23 domestic season, where he made his first-class and one-day debuts.
With the official transfer now completed, Arjun Tendulkar joins a strengthened LSG pace group and will look to find consistent game time in IPL 2026.
