Karthik warned about Sundar

Dinesh Karthik During a conversation on Cricbuzz, he said that sending Washington Sundar to bat at number 3 could be dangerous for him, it could affect his bowling. Karthik said that Sundar will be forced to focus more on his batting, hence his bowling burden will automatically reduce even in practice sessions.

Dinesh Karthik said, 'Where is Test player Washington Sundar being seen? Is he a bowler who can also bat? Now if you are sending him at number three, you are almost telling him that he needs to focus more on batting.

Team India not practicing properly?

While Dinesh Karthik warned about Sundar, R Ashwin raised questions on the practice session of the Indian team. Ashwin said that if players like Amol Majumdar, Mithun Manhas, Sachin Tendulkar had been playing on the Kolkata pitch, they would have taken the game till the fourth day. Ashwin said that Indian batting no longer plays well on spin-friendly pitches like before, hence such a pitch should not be made.
