KL Rahul: On Tuesday, a match was played between Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow in the Indian Premier League, which Lucknow won by 4 wickets. Batting first, Mumbai scored only 144/7 runs in 20 overs. In response, host Lucknow easily chased it with 4 balls and 4 wickets remaining. After this victory, LSG captain KL Rahul looked very happy. Let us know what he said after the match –

What did KL Rahul say after winning the match?

After winning the match against Mumbai Indians, Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul said during the post match presentation,

“We still had a lot of batting left. KP (Krunal Pandya) and Pooran (Nicholas Pooran) are experienced batsmen. The pitch was a bit dry, but still, if they (Mumbai Indians) had scored 160, it would have been a competitive match. The team coming here (at Ekana Stadium) takes time to adjust to the wicket.”

“Our bowlers put pressure on them and the batsmen achieved the target easily. You are always happy if you win the match and get two points. “But we still need to get some things right and hopefully we can finally start to find our rhythm.”

KL Rahul gave update on Mayank Yadav's fitness

Regarding Mayank Yadav, KL Rahul said, “I have not talked to him yet. There was a slight pain in his arm and after bowling the first ball he said that there was a little pain. I thought there was no need to take risks, he is still a young boy. They just don't have the speed. In today's match, he showed that apart from bowling at a speed of 150, he also has a lot of skills. The more he plays, the more he will learn what to do when. For now, we have given him complete freedom to enjoy and bowl whatever he wants.”

This was the condition of the competition

Lucknow Super Giants won the toss and invited Mumbai Indians to bat first. The innings did not start well for Mumbai. By the third over, he had suffered two major setbacks in the form of Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav, from which he could not recover till the last over. Nehal Vadhera played the biggest innings of 46 (41) runs for the visiting team. Apart from them, Ishan Kishan scored 32 (36) and finally Tim David scored 35 (18) to take Mumbai to a respectable score.

Lucknow also did not have a good start while chasing the target of 145 runs given by Mumbai. Opener Arshin Kulkarni returned to the pavilion on a golden duck. But after this, there was an important partnership of 58 runs for the second wicket between captain KL Rahul and Marcus Stoinis, which turned the entire match. Stoinis contributed to his team's victory by playing important innings of 62 (45), Rahul 28 (22), Deepak Hooda 18 (18) and Nicholas Pooran 14 (14).
