Rinku Singh Century in Ranji Trophy: On one hand, Team India is failing one after the other in home tests. On the other hand, it is also making a big mistake by ignoring players like Rinku Singh. Rinku Singh is continuously strengthening his claim of making Test debut for India by scoring runs and centuries in first class cricket. And, it is not just about Rinku Singh's runs or centuries but also about his batting average. The batting average of Rinku Singh, who made his debut in first class cricket 9 years ago, now seems to be touching the 60 mark.

Rinku Singh scored a century in Ranji

How many centuries did Rinku Singh score in red ball cricket in 9 years? How many runs did he score? We will talk about that but before that, let us talk about the century and innings about which he is currently in discussion. The left-handed all-rounder has scored this century against Tamil Nadu.

Batting first, Tamil Nadu scored 455 runs in its first innings. In response, half of the Uttar Pradesh team returned to the pavilion even before 200 runs were put on the scoreboard. In such a situation, the good thing was that Rinku Singh held one end of the crease and then he completed his hundred. The effect of this century of Rinku Singh was that the Uttar Pradesh team remains in the match against Tamil Nadu.

So many runs, so many centuries in 9 years

Rinku Singh made his first class debut 9 years ago i.e. in the year 2016. Since then, Rinku Singh has scored a total of 9 centuries in red ball cricket. Meaning the century he scored against Tamil Nadu was the 9th century of his first class career. With these 9 centuries, Rinku Singh has scored more than 3500 runs in first class cricket at an average of around 60 i.e. 59.07.

If this is not injustice to Rinku Singh then what is it?

Now the question is, how can the Indian team management ignore the batsman who has scored an average of one century every year in first class cricket, whose average is around 60? Why can't he play test for India? After all, the criteria in domestic cricket is to score runs and perform. Rinku Singh is doing all that, then why injustice?
