Sachin Tendulkar on Sri Sathya Sai Baba: Sachin Tendulkar participated in the centenary celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba and shared his experience with him. The former Indian batsman told that Sri Sathya Sai Baba has had a lot of influence in his life. Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar, who came to participate in the centenary celebrations organized in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, also narrated the story of 2011 World Cup related to Satya Sai Baba. He told how that sentence had filled him with confidence during the tournament.
Sachin Tendulkar told that he knew that it was his last World Cup. Meaning also the last chance to win the biggest trophy of cricket. Sachin said that he was with the team in the camp in Bengaluru. While there he gets a phone call. He is told that Baba has sent his book for him. Sachin said that his face lit up after hearing that. Feelings of happiness had come over him.
Sachin Tendulkar further said that he now understood that the World Cup was going to be special for him. He got inner strength from the book given by Baba. His confidence increased. According to Sachin, that book remained with him like a true companion during the entire tournament.

Sachin Tendulkar said that we all know what happened in the 2011 World Cup, when India won the title by defeating Sri Lanka in Mumbai. The whole country was filled with joy. That was the golden moment of my cricketing career. I don't think I have ever felt anything better in my career than when the whole country was dancing. Sachin said that this was possible because we had the blessings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
