Ranchi: On the instructions of the Department of School Education and Literacy, Jharkhand, under the aegis of School Games Federation of India, the state level event of Under-17 Boys and Girls Football Competition 2025-26 was organized at Khel Gaon Practice Ground, Ranchi. The final matches of the competition were full of thrill. The teams of Lohardaga and Dhanbad faced each other in the final of Under-17 boys category. The match remained tied at 1-1 till the stipulated time.

After the penalty shootout was also tied, Lohardaga’s team won 1-0 in the decisive golden shootout and achieved the honor of becoming the state champion. Whereas in the final of Under-17 girls category, Lohardaga team came against Gumla. Gumla put in a strong performance and won 5-0 and Lohardaga team became the runner-up.

On these remarkable achievements of the players of Lohardaga district, District Education Officer Das Sunanda Chandramouleshwar, District Education Superintendent Abhijeet Kumar, Area Manager cum Division In-charge Akash Kumar and physical teachers congratulated the players and wished them a bright future.
