Latest News :- Telugu Desam-BJP-Janasena parties formed an alliance in Andhra state and faced elections.

In this, Telugu Desam has fielded candidates on its bicycle symbol, BJP on its lotus symbol and Janasena on its glass symbol. Janasena Party is contesting elections in 21 Assembly and 2 Lok Sabha constituencies. BJP is contesting elections on 10 assembly and 6 Lok Sabha seats.

However, the State Election Commission has reserved Jana Sena's election symbol Glass Glass for independent candidates in some Assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies of Andhra Pradesh.

Due to this there is a lot of confusion among the voters. Regarding this, two appeals were made to the State Election Commission on behalf of the Telugu Desam alliance and on behalf of the Janasena Party. However, no other symbols have been assigned to independent candidates yet.

Therefore, a case was filed in the Andhra Pradesh High Court yesterday on behalf of the Janasena Party against this action of the State Election Commission.

When the matter came up for hearing yesterday, the lawyer appearing for the State Election Commission asked for 24 hours' time. Thus the case has been adjourned till today (Wednesday).
