Sultanpur,. A businessman was murdered on Wednesday night in Kadipur Khurd market of Kadipur Kotwali area of Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. The police reached the spot after receiving the information and took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. Police have formed four teams to arrest the killers.
Ramkeval Gupta, a resident of Pandey of Jalalpur, has a grocery shop in Kadipur Khurd market of Kadipur Kotwali area. This shop was run together by Ramkewal and his son Rakesh Kumar (46). Rakesh Kumar was sleeping in the verandah in front of his shop on Wednesday night. On Thursday morning, when people nearby woke up and reached in front of the shop, they found Rakesh Kumar lying dead on the cot, soaked in blood. There were marks of attack with sticks on his head. Unknown assailants attacked him during the night.
As soon as information about the incident was received, police and family members reached the spot. The daughter of the deceased became emotional after seeing her father’s dead body. Kadipur CO Vinay Gautam and Inspector-in-Charge Shyam Sundar reached the spot with the police team and took stock of the situation. The father of the deceased has given a written complaint to the police, on the basis of which a case has been registered against unknown persons. CO Kadipur Vinay Gautam said that four teams have been formed to quickly reveal the incident.
Usually Ramkeval Gupta used to stay at the shop at night, but Rakesh Kumar stayed there on the night of the incident. Deceased Rakesh Kumar has two sons, Angad and Anurag, in whom Angad is married. They also have a daughter Sapna. In this case, Additional Superintendent of Police Akhand Pratap Singh, forensic team and crime branch also reached the spot and investigated. It is being told that 4 bags of wheat were stolen from the shop of the deceased. Which was kept hidden in the drain. The father says that the son had recognized the thieves which led to the murder.
