Michael Vaughan has announced the names of his four semi-final picks for the ICC T20 World Cup in 2024. He didn’t name India and Pakistan, leaving the fans surprised. Pakistan played in the finals of the last two editions of the T20 World Cup, while India qualified for the semis in 2022.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India BCCI has announced a strong team for the upcoming World Cup in the West Indies and the United States of America. Rohit Sharma will lead the side, with Hardik Pandya as his deputy.
Virat Kohli, the leading run-scorer in the history of the T20Is, and Suryakumar Yadav, the number one ranked batter in the shortest format, have been included.
Jasprit Bumrah, who is the best fast bowler in the world, is a part of the well-balanced team.
On the other hand, Pakistan will be led by Babar Azam, who is among the top batters. He will rely on Shaheen Afridi, who is renowned for bowling match-winning spells.
Meanwhile, Vaughan went with the defending champions England and 2021 winner Australia, two-time champions West Indies and South Africa.

England will be led by Jos Buttler, who is playing for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League 2024.
Mitchell Marsh, who was with Delhi Capitals, is Australia’s captain.
Aiden Markram, the Sunrisers Hyderabad player, has got the command of South Africa in his hands.
Rovman Powell is the skipper of the hosts West Indies. He is a part of Rajasthan Royals in the 17th season.
