WPL 2026 Auction: Who are the oldest, youngest players going under hammer?

The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 Auction will take place on Thursday in New Delhi with a total of 277 players going under the hammer.

These players will be in contention for 73 available slots across five franchises ahead of the fourth edition of the tournament.

Here’s a look at the oldest and the youngest players who have registered for the WPL auction:

Youngest players in WPL 2026 Auction

Anshu Nagar (14) — The left-arm pacer has made waves in the Delhi Women’s Premier League, having picked up two wickets in the 2024 edition for the South Delhi Superstarz, and then playing for the North Delhi Strikers this season.

Himakshi Chaudhary (14) — Another find from the Delhi Premier League, the leg spin-bowling all-rounder took three wickets for the South Delhi Superstarz, and even contributed with the bat while coming down the order.

Kandikuppa Kashvi (14) — She’s a top-order batter who can bowl offspin, and recently was part of the Bengaluru Blasters squad for the Maharani Trophy KSCA T20 2025.

Oldest players in WPL 2026 Auction

Ekta Bisht (39) — The left-arm- spinning all-rounder was part of Royal Challengers Bengaluru for the last two WPL editions. Moreover, she’s also played for India, featuring in 63 ODIs, 42 T20Is, and one Test. She has picked 98 wickets in ODIs and 53 wickets in T20Is.

Inoka Ranaweera (39) — The Sri Lanka veteran showed that she’s still an important contributor to her national team during the recently concluded Women’s ODI World Cup when she picked seven wickets in four innings. The left-arm spinner has played 86 ODIs (87 wickets) and 84 T20Is (92 wickets).
