Lucknow: Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan has criticized veteran wicketkeeper batsman MS Dhoni. He has accused Dhoni of not playing for the team. Let us tell you that the match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) was played in Chepauk. Irfan seemed to disagree with Dhoni's decision in this match and criticized it a lot. Although Mahi's decision is rarely criticized but Pathan appeared against one of his decisions.

Actually, during CSK's innings, Dhoni was present on strike in the 20th over and fast bowler Arshdeep Singh was bowling for Punjab. The 42-year-old hit a four on the first ball of the over, while he could not score a run on the second ball. After this, the third ball went into the gap and Daryl Mitchell, who was on non-strike, reached the other end to take a run but Dhoni sent him back and refused to take the run. After his decision, Pathan was seen criticizing Dhoni during a conversation on Star Sports.

He said, “I am against this thing because MS Dhoni has not taken runs and this is against the team game. Another boy has also come to play and you cannot do this. There is no such player at the other end but it is Daryl Mitchell and he is a big player in international cricket. Even if Dhoni hits two sixes, I am against it.”

In this match, the right-handed batsman faced 11 balls and scored 14 runs with the help of one four and one six. However, he was run out on the last ball and this is the first time in this tournament that Dhoni has been out.
