Tanzid Hasan Tamim’s fifty has powered Bangladesh’s 8-wicket victory against Ireland during the 3rd T20I match against Ireland at Chattogram.

He went on to slam unbeaten 55* runs off 36 deliveries after Mustafizur and Rishad Hossain dismantled Ireland’s batting line-up for 117 and secured a 2-1 T20I series win in the Ireland tour of Bangladesh 2025.

Choosing to bat first, Tanzid Hasan and Tim Tector made a decent start, scoring 38 runs for 1st wicket. Tector scored 17 runs before being dismissed by Shoriful Islam.

With Harry Tector, Lorcan Tucker, and Curtis Campher going back to the dugout for single-digit scores, Stirling, who was the highest scorer for Ireland, scored 38 runs off 27 deliveries before being dismissed by Rishad Hossain.

Despite Dockrell and Delany adding up 19 and 10 runs respectively, Ireland got bowled out for 117 runs in the final over of their innings.

Both Mustafizur Rahman and Rishad Hossain picked up three wickets each, while Shoriful Islam bagged two wickets, with Mahedi Hasan and Saifuddin completing their spells with a wicket each.

Chasing the target of 118 runs, Tanzid Hasan and Saif Hassan opened the innings while Matthew Humphreys opened the bowling attack.

With Saif Hassan and Litton Das dismissed for 19 and 7 runs, Tanzid Hasan went on to smash a fifty while batting along with Parvez.

In the 14th over, Tanzid Hasan (55*) and Parvez Hossain (33*) went on to secure a win for Bangladesh after scoring 119 runs.

Tanzid Hasan was named as the Player of the Match. Speaking at the post-match presentation, we won the series. I took five catches. That was very interesting. My teammates and I are enjoying that one.

“So, I feel very happy for them. I was trying in the middle. Just bat according to the ball. And when Saif and I get a good start, and then Emon comes in, we talk and just bat till the end. And we finish the match.”

Then he told me that when I play the next match, if I get 50 runs, then I just take the bat and show him. And that’s for him,” Tanzid Hasan concluded.
