The teams of Tamil Nadu and Saurashtra faced each other in a match of Group D of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025. In this match, Tamil Nadu team won by 3 wickets. The hero of Tamil Nadu's victory was a 24-year-old player, who scored a century and led the team to victory. This player hit a century in just 55 balls while hitting fours and sixes. With this Tamil Nadu achieved its third win in the tournament.
Sai Sudarshan's stormy century
Star Indian player Sai Sudarshan played a century innings for Tamil Nadu in this match.
In response to the target of 184 runs, Sai Sudarshan gave a strong start to the team and remained unbeaten till the end. During this, Sai Sudarshan faced 55 balls and scored 101 unbeaten runs. His innings included 10 fours and 4 sixes. Sai Sudarshan led the victory on his own, because apart from him no other batsman could cross the 30-run mark. But SAI held one end and Tamil Nadu achieved the target at the loss of 7 wickets in 18.4 overs.Sai Sudarshan has debuted for Team India in all three formats. So far he has played 6 Tests, 3 ODIs and 1 T20 match.
But the surprising thing is that he did not get a chance to bat in this only T20 match, despite this he was shown the way out of the team and then he could not even return. He played this only match against Zimbabwe on 7 July 2024.This match was like this
In this match, Saurashtra won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 183 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. During this, Vishwaraj Jadeja played an inning of 70 runs in 39 balls. Which included 6 fours and 4 sixes. Whereas, Sammar Gajjar scored 66 runs in 42 balls. But Sai Sudarshan's innings overshadowed him. Apart from Sai, Sunny Sandhu also played an explosive innings and scored 30 runs in 9 balls.
During this he hit 3 fours and 2 sixes.
