There was talk about the T20 World Cup 2024 that due to his strike rate he would not get a place in the World Cup team. Even after Rinku Singh was not included in the World Cup team, Agarkar replied, “I think Rinku Singh has not done anything wrong. It may be a bit difficult for him but due to team balance we could not include him in the squad. Rohit had asked for an extra spinner and in the end we had to choose only 15 players.”
