Agarkar expressed his opinion on KL Rahul not getting a place in the T20 World Cup team. He said, “KL Rahul is opening in the IPL. We were mainly looking for a middle-order batsman. We felt that Sanju Samson and Rishabh Panth were better suits for the team. Samson can bat anywhere in the batting order, so here the need of the team is more important than a good cricketer.”

Who will open?

Captain Rohit Sharma said that all options are open in the T20 World Cup. The decision will be taken after looking at the pitch. Rohit said that the combination of playing eleven will also be decided after seeing the pitch.
