Young wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan, who is hoping to make a comeback in the Indian cricket team, has now presented his claim with a explosive innings. Ishan Kishan, who is captaining his team Jharkhand in domestic cricket, scored a memorable century while batting brilliantly in the final of Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy 2025. In the final against Haryana, Ishan Kishan scored a record century in just 45 balls. With this, he made a record of scoring a century in the final of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Before this, no captain had scored a century in the final of this tournament.On Thursday 18th December at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune. SMAT 2025 Ishan Kishan's most destructive form was seen in the finals. Ishaan, who was captaining the team in this tournament, had already played some strong innings, with the help of which the team was successful in reaching the finals. But to win the title, there was a need to do wonders in the final also and here the captain himself took charge and created chaos with the bat.
Ishaan was not affected by the fall of wickets in the very first over and he attacked the Haryana bowlers. Especially in the sixth over, he hit 3 sixes. Then the sequence of fours and sixes continued and he scored a half-century in just 24 balls. Even after that, it proved difficult for the Haryana bowlers to stop him and even once the catch came, they dropped it. Ishaan took full advantage of this and then completed his century in just 45 balls. Ishaan completed his century by hitting a six with one hand.

With this, Ishan Kishan has become only the second batsman and the first captain to score a century in the final of Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Not only this, he equaled Abhishek Sharma's record of most centuries in the history of this tournament. Both have now scored 5-5 centuries.
Ishaan has scored a total of 6 centuries in T20 cricket. However, he could not take his century innings much further and was out after scoring 101 runs in 49 balls. But in this explosive innings, he definitely hit 10 sixes and 6 fours. Also, along with Kumar Kushagra, they made a strong partnership of 177 runs for the second wicket. Kushagra missed his century and was out after scoring 81 runs in 38 balls.
