Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag have done well for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League 2024. However, Navjot Singh Sidhu feels Ishan Kishan has the best reaction time among the young India batters.
Kishan hasn’t set the stage on fire in the cash-rich league and was not considered for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
“Ishan Kishan has the best reaction time among the young India batters. There is no one like him. He is a class batter,” Navjot Singh Sidhu said on Star Sports.
Kishan didn’t last long and managed just 9 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The southpaw had a point to prove after being removed from the contract list, but apart from a couple of good innings, Ishan was easily dismissed by opposite numbers.
With no central contract and poor form, there is no possibility for Kishan to play for the Indian team.
The problem started when he took a break from cricket due to mental fatigue. Ishan was told to play in the Ranji Trophy by the team management and the national selectors but the batter refused to follow the instructions and paid a heavy price.
