Lucknow: Former Indian batsman Navjot Singh Sidhu has described a young player who is flopping in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 as the best batsman. The surprising thing is that during this time he has not taken the names of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag and Abhishek Sharma, who are performing well with their bat this season. However, he has not named these players.

According to Sidhu, out of all the young players in India at present, Mumbai Indians (MI) wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan has been described as the best. Let us tell you that Kishan has failed to perform well with the bat so far this season but he has played short and good innings on some occasions. In such a situation, during the conversation on Star Sports, Sidhu has given a big statement about the young player.

He said, “Among all the young players in India, Ishan Kishan has the best reaction time. There is currently no player with timing like him. He is a class batsman.”

If we look at Kishan's performance in IPL 2024, he has disappointed everyone. Ishaan has played a total of 12 matches so far this season, in which he has scored 266 runs with a very ordinary average of 22.17 and strike rate of 149.44. During this period, only one half-century has come from his bat. Their poor performance has also affected Mumbai because the team has played a total of 3 matches in this tournament so far and they are at the bottom position in the points table.

The left-handed batsman has not performed effectively with his bat this season, due to which he has not been selected in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 team. Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson have been selected as wicketkeepers in the World Cup.
