UP Warriorz’s middle-overs collapse in its Women’s Premier League (WPL) match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru has left it struggling to post a competitive total at the DY Patil Stadium on Monday, January 12.

A small positive for Meg Lanning’s side is that it has already comfortably managed to move past the lowest total in WPL history. That ignominious record is held by Gujarat Giants, which collapsed to 64 all out against Mumbai Indians in the debut season of the tournament.

Blistering innings’ from Hayley Matthews, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Amelia Kerr helped MI post 207 for five in its 20 overs before GG collapsed to 64 all out. Saika Ishaque claimed four wickets, while Kerr and Sciver-Brunt took two each.
