Delhi: The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will start from June 2 as per Indian time. Team India's first match in this tournament will be against Ireland on June 5. For this, India's 15-member team has been announced. Meanwhile, veteran batsman Suryakumar Yadav scored a brilliant century against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Monday and played an important role in the victory of Mumbai Indians. After the match, Yadav said that T20 World Cup is on his mind. He also said that special preparations are being made for this. The right-handed batsman revealed that he has been practicing for it in the afternoon. Parthiv Patel and Pragyan Ojha present on the field bombarded Suryakumar Yadav with questions. Surya was asked how the preparations for the T20 World Cup were going. After this the 33 year old cricketer has revealed the secret.
He said, “Even though we are playing IPL right now, somewhere in our mind is the T20 World Cup going on. Besides, they are also preparing for the T20 World Cup. For this, I am going to the field in the afternoon and practicing. The reason behind this is that the matches in USA and West Indies are going to be played during the day. For this, I am batting even during the day, because from now on it will become a habit, when you go there, it will not feel like anything new.”
It is noteworthy that most of the matches in IPL are played at night. Due to this, players may face problems during the day's matches. In such a situation, Suryakumar is practicing on this occasion. Yadav's century is a real booster for Team India before the T20 World Cup. India's first match will be against Ireland on June 5. Their match will be against Pakistan on 9th June. After this, Team India will play matches against America and Canada.
