Delhi: On one hand, while the excitement of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is going on, on the other hand, murmurs have also started regarding the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 starting next month. Many countries have already announced their respective teams. India has selected the main team of 15 players as well as four reserve players. In such a situation, former West Indies captain Brian Lara has given a suggestion to Team India's head coach Rahul Dravid. He also wants that the final match of the upcoming T20 World Cup should be between India and West Indies.

Brian Lara, 55, said, “When there are so many star players in the teams, we forget to make plans, when they are there, we think that they will take care of it. Sometimes the results are as per the expectations of the management, but even if the team has star players like Viv Richards or Virat Kohli, what does the team get from them? “Earlier in 1987 ODI, the team did not get star players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.”

He further said, “When you have great players in your team, there is nothing wrong in thinking of using their experience, but since they also have young talent along with them, you have to prepare with a proper plan. This is my advice to Team India's head coach Rahul.”

He said, “According to Dravid, Suryakumar Yadav should come to bat at number three in the T20 World Cup. Suryakumar is one of the best players in T20 cricket at present. It is unfortunate that Rinku Singh did not get a place in the team. Although, under the leadership of Rohit, the team has the potential to win the trophy, but I want India and West Indies to face each other in this tournament.”
