The warm-up match of T20 World Cup 2026 between India and South Africa was played on 4 February in Navi Mumbai. In this match, India defeated South Africa by 30 runs. During this match, Harshit Rana got injured, the seriousness of which can be gauged from the fact that he was able to bowl one over with great difficulty, in which he gave 16 runs.

Because, he was useful for the Indian team with both ball and bat.Before Harshit, Team India was already struggling with Washington Sundar's injury. Sundar was injured in the first match of the ODI series against New Zealand, after which he is out of Team India.
