Kerala leg spinner Asha Sobhana picked six wickets as the side romped to a 111-run win over Saurashtra on Sunday at the Taurian World School Ground in Ranchi in the Senior Women’s One Day Trophy 2025-26.

The southern State had badly lost to Railways in their campaign opener but bounced back in incredible fashion to get its first win of the season.

Batting first, Kerala barely managed to put up a competitive total as it posted 187 in 50 overs. But Asha wreaked havoc and made sure that Saurashtra was bundled out for 76.

The India international was also economical, conceding just 13 runs in 10 overs and bowling three maidens.

Amongst the other matches, Goa’s Purvaja Verlekar remained unbeaten on 166 to help her side post a commanding total and eventually beat Hyderabad by 51 runs.

Chasing 295, opener Sandhya Gora (83 off 101) kept Andhra in the match till the 38th over before Shrey — who picked three wickets — removed Sandhya. Andhra, which was 190/6 at this point, could only add 53 runs more before being bowled out in 46.5 overs.
