Rinku Singh Father Passed Away: Amidst the T20 World Cup 2026, a mountain of sorrow has fallen on Rinku Singh, the young and explosive batsman of the Indian cricket team. His father Khanchand Singh has passed away. He breathed his last at Yatharth Hospital in Greater Noida. Khanchand Singh was suffering from stage-4 liver cancer for a long time and recently his condition had deteriorated significantly.

Rinku Singh had come to meet his father during the T20 World Cup 2026 and joined the team before the match against Zimbabwe.

Rinku Singh had reached Chennai with the team on 23 February, after reaching which he got the news of his father's health deteriorating. As soon as the news was received, Rinku Singh left for his home from Chennai. His father was admitted to Greater Noida hospital in critical condition, but he could not be saved.

His father was on a mechanical ventilator and was being given continuous renal replacement therapy.

Rinku Singh has decided to rejoin the team after meeting his father, his decision was praised by everyone. He rejoined the team a day before the match against Zimbabwe. However, he was not in the playing 11 for the match and came on the field as an extra fielder. However, now after this sad news, Rinku can leave the tournament midway and return to his home. Nothing can be said yet about whether he will be a part of Team India in the tournament.

Rinku Singh's father used to work in gas cylinder delivery.

He used to work in a gas agency in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, where he used to deliver cooking gas cylinders to people from door to door. Despite the family's financial constraints, he helped his son Rinku fulfill his dream of becoming a cricketer. Even after the success of Rinku Singh, his father did not leave this work.
