On the eve of the game, a clip posted by the KKR social media handle – which has now been deleted – has Rohit Sharma having a candid chat with old friend Abhishek Nayar. During the chat, Rohit explains the dressing-room scenario and that MI – the team that he build – is no more the same during Hardik Pandya’s leadership. During the last few seconds of the clip, Rohit claims this could be his last year at the IPL. The 37-year old is the most successful captain in the history of the league, winning the crown five times.

“One thing is changing! That is their solution. For me brother, that is my home, that is the temple, I have built it. Brother, what is mine, this is the last one..!”

Meanwhile, there are predictions of rain playing spoilsport in the city. There is a 70 per cent chance of precipitation which means it will rain at some point. To make things worse, the humidity would be around 82 per cent.
