Delhi: Big news has come out about England cricket team's legendary fast bowler James Anderson. It is being claimed in the reports that the great pacer can say goodbye to red ball i.e. Test cricket.
According to The Guardian report, England's Test team head coach Brendon McCullum has told Anderson that he wants to focus on the future and build the team keeping the 2025-26 Ashes series in mind. McCullum went to England from New Zealand and personally informed the experienced fast bowler about his plans.
James reached the mark of 700 wickets in the last Test of the India tour earlier this year. With this, he became the third bowler in the world after Muttiah Muralitharan and Shane Warne to join the 700 Test wicket club. The England management kept a close eye on his workload in the series, where he bowled 110 overs in 7 innings and took 10 wickets.

Earlier, Anderson had failed to make much of an impact in the series against Australia on home soil. Jimmy took a total of 5 wickets in 8 innings of 4 tests. There is news that the right-arm fast bowler may announce the end of his career on Saturday. However, England and Wales Cricket (ECB) has not yet made any official comment on this matter.
Jimmy will turn 42 at the end of England's three-match Test series against the West Indies in July. Anderson is expected to talk about her future on Saturday, when she appears on the BBC's coverage of the England Women's T20I against Pakistan at Edgbaston. The ECB declined to comment when contacted by ESPNcricinfo on Friday evening.
