During the final over of the powerplay, bowled by Brad Evans, Shai Hope attempted to accelerate with a slog across the line to a pace-off delivery. The ball skewed high and wide towards deep mid-wicket. Bennett sprinted across to his left, covered significant ground, and then launched into a full-length dive to complete a sensational catch. The dismissal halted West Indies’ early momentum and showcased Bennett’s remarkable athleticism.

In the ninth over, bowled by Rachin Ravindra, Jacob Bethell pulled a flat delivery powerfully towards deep mid-wicket. Phillips reacted instantly, diving forward with both hands inches above the turf to complete a stunning low catch. He rolled over to ensure control and never looked in doubt. The effort was brilliant but the game did not change the course towards the Black Caps’ side and eventually lost the game against England.
