Radha Yadav and Shweta Mane’s mammoth partnership led West Zone to a dramatic three-wicket victory over Central Zone and the title of the Senior Women’s Inter-Zonal One-Day Trophy at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru on Sunday, March 15.
Radha and Mane added 174 from 173 balls as West Zone recovered from 68 for six in its pursuit of 253 to seal the title of champion. Radha scored 92 from 90 deliveries with 10 fours, while Mane was unbeaten on 91 from 94 balls with eight boundaries.
After being put in to bat by the opposition, Central Zone lost opener and captain Nuzhat Parween early, but responded well. Despite losing leading run-scorer Shipra Giri for 30, Varnika Choudhary (55) and Muskan Malik (54) both scored half-centuries as it rallied to move towards a competitve score before Pooja Vastrakar (72) added some crucial runs with a brisk fifty as Central Zone finished its 50 overs on 252 for six.

In response, West Zone lost the tournament’s leading run-scorer, Humairaa Kaazi, in the very first over as part of an abject start that saw it slip to 68 for six. Poonam Yadav was the primary wicket-taker, taking three wickets, while only Poonam Khemnar (48) offered some resistance.
Khemnar’s dismissal brought Mane to the crease, and from that moment on, the pair dominated in a partnership that pushed West Zone to the cusp of victory. Radha was eventually run out eight runs shy of three figures, but West Zone was just 11 runs away from victory by then.
Rawat joined Mane at the crease, and the pair got the side over the line with three balls to spare.Published on Mar 15, 2026
