IPL 2026: Best overseas 4 for Rajasthan Royals (Source: Pankaj Nangia/Getty Images)
Rajasthan Royals (RR) have one of the best cores of Indian batters in their ranks. These include the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel and newly appointed full-time skipper Riyan Parag. The quality of their Indian batting will make sure that the side does not miss Sanju Samson, who has been traded to Chennai Super Kings ahead of the upcoming season.
When a team has such a good Indian core, the role of its overseas players becomes even more important. These international stars have to complement their Indian counterparts, something RR’s contingents are very much capable of doing. From hard-hitting batters to fast and attacking bowlers, RR fans have a lot of look forward to during the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
Here are four best overseas picks for RR in IPL 2026: 4. Sam Curran - England

Sam Curran has made the long journey from Chennai to Rajasthan along with Ravindra Jadeja in a deal which saw Samson go in the other direction.
The England all-rounder has been in some very good T20 form off late. He has become a mainstay of the English team. He has found a nice role, batting at six and bowling in the middle overs. His medium pace could be very beneficial for RR in 2026.The English cricketer is also in great form as far as franchise cricket is concerned. The left-hander captained the Desert Vipers to their maiden ILT20 title in late 2025, where he was named Player of the Series for his all-round contribution, scoring the most runs in the tournament (397) and taking seven wickets.
3. Donovon Ferreira - South Africa
A destructive middle order batter, Donovon Ferreira is yet another handy all-rounder amongst the RR squad. The 27-year-old, who can also keep wickets, represented the Johannesburg Super Kings in the SA20 where he ended up taking five wickets and scoring 103 runs at a strike-rate of 171.66.
Ferreira’s form in the most Hundred competition is even more impressive. He represented the title-winning Oval Invincibles side where he scored 181 runs at an astonishing strike-rate of over 235 from nine games.
It is worth mentioning that Ferreira was part of the RR squad back in 2024 where he only played twice for the franchise.
2. Jofra Archer - England

Jofra Archer’s recent England form suggests that though the fast bowler is always amongst the wickets, he has been a bit expensive for his own liking. However, there is no denying his quality, particularly with the new ball in the powerplay.
Archer, currently in his second spell with RR, played 12 games during the 2025 IPL season, taking 11 wickets along the way.
The 30-year-old, however, does face competition from within to keep his place in the side and lead the fast bowling department. RR also have Nandre Burger amongst the ranks who is yet another bowler well capable of bowling in the high 140s.
1. Shimron Hetmyer - West Indies

Shimron Hetmyer is slowly becoming synonymous with RR as he enters his fifth season with the Jaipur-based franchise. The left-hander will be expected to play the role of a finisher in RR’s stacked top and middle order. With a host of star batters in their squad, Hetmyer comes into the 2026 IPL slightly under the radar. The West Indies star, however, will be equally important to RR’s chances this season should they qualify for the playoffs.
Last season, Hetmyer went on to play all 14 games, scoring 239 runs at a strike rate of 145.73. However, it will be his T20 World Cup form which should excite RR fans the most. The 29-year-old scored 248 runs at an average of 41 whilst striking at well over 185.
