Lucknow: Delhi Capitals (DC) captain Rishabh Pant was banned for one match by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Due to this, Pant could not play the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Chinnaswamy Stadium. In this match, star all-rounder Akshar Patel is captaining the team in his place. However, Rishabh appeared to completely disagree with this decision of BCCI and also expressed his anger against it. In fact, in the last few matches, the left-handed batsman has performed well for the team and has also shown excellent performance as captain.

Delhi will definitely miss captain Pant because he is the most run-scoring batsman for DC this season. In such a situation, after being banned, Pant expressed disappointment and he believes that it is not only the captain's fault but also the bowlers' fault. In such a situation, why has action been taken only against the captain? Not only this, he had also appealed against him but no hearing took place. Akshar, who came for the toss against RCB, made a big revelation while talking to the broadcaster.

He said, “Rishabh Pant was very angry in the team hotel and also appealed against the ban. He will be present on the ground to boost our confidence but he will definitely be missed.”

Let us tell you that this decision has been taken against the 26-year-old for bowling at a slow over rate. Actually, according to the rules of IPL, if a team is not able to complete 20 overs in the stipulated time for the first time, then a fine of Rs 12 lakh is imposed on the captain. Apart from this, if this mistake happens for the second time then a fine of Rs 24 lakh is imposed, whereas for the third time if the team bowls at a slow over rate then the captain is banned for one match. Under this rule, action has been taken against Pant.

The left-handed batsman has done a good job for his team this season. He has played a total of 12 matches so far in which he has scored 413 runs with an average of 41.3 and a strike rate of 156.44. During this period, he has scored 3 half-centuries with his bat, while his best score has been 88 runs. However, now the left-handed batsman will make a comeback in the match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on May 14 and will be seen captaining.
