Game Desk: Gujarat Titans (GT) batsman Sai Sudarshan spoke on his outlook ahead of IPL 2026 and said that he is only focused on the success of the team by living in the present. Sudarshan told that instead of thinking about the future results, he is devoting his entire energy to making the team win.

Speaking to a news agency, Sai Sudarshan said, “I am not thinking about the future. I think the most important thing is to stay in the present and give my best to make my team win. I have taken the best opportunity to prepare myself before the start of the tournament and now my entire energy is focused on that.”

Sudarshan performed brilliantly in IPL 2025. He scored 759 runs in 15 matches, which included one century and six fifties. His average was 54.21 and strike rate was 156.17, due to which he got the Orange Cap. After his IPL debut in 2022, Sudarshan has scored 1793 runs in just 40 matches, which includes two centuries and 12 fifties.

Sudarshan also praised the coaching style of GT head coach Ashish Nehra. He said that Nehra understands the strengths and weaknesses of every player very well and gives personal guidance.

GT made its debut in IPL 2022 and won the title in the very first year. The next year, it lost to Chennai Super Kings in the final. GT failed to qualify for the second round in IPL 2024, while losing the IPL 2025 eliminator to Mumbai Indians.

The IPL 2026 season starts from March 28. The defending champions Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will face Sunrisers Hyderabad. GT will play its first match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on March 31 in Mullanpur.
