Ravindra Jadeja was impressive for the Rajasthan Royals in their IPL 2026 opening match against the Chennai Super Kings in Guwahati. He gave a fiery send-off to Shivam Dube after dismissing him. The moment happened during the middle overs when Jadeja took two wickets in the same over to put Chennai on the back foot. After sending back Sarfaraz Khan, Jadeja bowled to Team India’s all-rounder Dube, who went after the spinner after coming to the middle.

Dube hit a six, but Jadeja had the last laugh. Mixing his variations, he compelled Dube to play a big shot, which resulted in a regulation catch in the long-off region.

Jadeja reacted angrily and gave his former teammate a send-off, a moment that went viral on social media. It showed the intensity of the game, even between cricketers who have shared the dressing room.

Jadeja once again managed to put the batters under pressure with the help of his deliveries. His spell helped Rajasthan to dismiss the rival team for 127 in 19.4 overs.

Sanju Samson, who made his debut for CSK after a high-profile move from Rajasthan, scored just 6 runs off 7 balls.

Chasing 128, the Royals reached the target in 12.1 overs, with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scoring 52 runs off 17 balls, with the help of 5 sixes and 4 boundaries.

Yashasvi Jaiswal (38* off 36), Dhruv Jurel (18 off 9) and Riyan Parag (14* off 11) were also among the runs.
