Kolkata Knight Riders are having a dream run in the IPL 2024. On Saturday 11th May, they looked clinical during the rain-shortened match against Mumbai Indians at Eden Gardens. Venkatesh Iyer, Nitish Rana, Andre Russell, Rinku Singh, and Ramandeep Singh helped their team reach 157 in 16 overs.
In response, the Mumbai Indians lost wickets and were barely in the run chase after Ishan Kishan’s dismissal. The five-time winners ultimately lost by 18 runs, with only Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma scoring more than thirty. The Knight Riders became the first team to qualify for the playoffs.
During the match, a fan was seen trying to steal the match ball at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. A police officer grabbed the ball from him with force and threw it back on the ground in a video that went viral on social media.
The fan was wearing Rinku Singh’s jersey was pushed back by a police officer. KKR supporter was surprised with cop’s aggressive behaviour.
