PAK vs IRE: Ireland team will tour Pakistan for the first time for limited overs series in 2025

Delhi: Ireland's men's cricket team will tour Pakistan for the first time in August-September next year. Cricket Ireland (CI) confirmed this in the middle of the three-match T20I series against Pakistan on home soil. Both the teams will face each other in the third and final T20 match today at the Clontarf Cricket Club Ground in Dublin. At present the series is tied at 1-1.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi is also currently in Ireland with the national team. In such a statement, the PCB said, “Chairman of Cricket Ireland said that the Irish team will tour Pakistan for the Test series in August-September next year and will also review the possibility of the women's team touring Pakistan soon.”

However, Cricket Ireland has confirmed that their men's team will tour Pakistan for three T20Is and as many ODIs next year. He said, “We are happy to welcome President Naqvi to Dublin and our meeting was very useful. The presence of the PCB Chairman in Ireland was greatly appreciated and will build good relations between the two boards.”

The three-match T20I series is currently tied at 1-1.

For now, both Ireland and Pakistan will be keen to win the three-match series on Tuesday (May 14). The host team surprised Pakistan by chasing the target of 180 runs in the first T20I, but the visiting team made a brilliant comeback in the next match by scoring 194 runs and gave a strong reply to the Irish team.
