This was the team’s first offense under Article 2.22 of the IPL Code of Conduct, which relates to minimum over rate offences. Iyer was fined Rs 12 lakh. Let us tell you that this is not the first time that Iyer has been fined for this crime. Last year, Iyer was punished twice by BCCI for slow over rate. First, a fine of Rs 12 lakh was imposed and then for repeating the mistake, a fine of Rs 24 lakh was imposed.
