Kolkata Knight Riders vs Sunrisers Hyderabad: Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad are going to face each other in IPL 2026. The clash between these two teams will be seen on the IPL pitch after 311 days. The current clash is at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

But, when the last time both the teams clashed in IPL, the ground was of Delhi, where runs were scored indiscriminately. The sixes were uncounted. A total of 31 sixes and 446 runs were scored in that match. That match played between KKR vs SRH was the one with the highest runs. In that match, SRH had defeated KKR. He had given them their biggest defeat in IPL.

Clausen's century in 37 balls, SRH scored 278 runs

Sunrisers Hyderabad batted first in the last match played against Kolkata Knight Riders and scored 278 runs in 20 overs. This was the third highest score in IPL, in which SRH batsman Heinrich Klaasen's 37-ball century played a big role.

Heinrich Klaasen had untied every bowler of KKR by remaining unbeaten till the end. He took full advantage of the small ground of Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi and scored unbeaten 105 runs in 39 balls in his innings while hitting sixes.

SRH hit 19 sixes

Playing first, SRH scored 278 runs in 20 overs on the basis of Clausen's stormy century, which included 19 sixes. Of these 19 sixes, 9 sixes came from Clausen's bat alone.

KKR hit 12 sixes, got the biggest defeat

Now it was the turn of Kolkata Knight Riders to counterattack.

But, far from retaliating, he seemed far away even from his thoughts. In comparison to the mountain-like score of SRH, KKR could score only 168 runs. KKR could hit only 12 sixes as compared to 19 sixes hit in SRH's innings. The result was that Kolkata Knight Riders, chasing the target of 279 runs, had to face defeat by 110 runs, which was the biggest defeat for KKR in IPL in terms of runs.
