After Ahmedabad-Melbourne, now 1 lakh fans will sit in this stadium, it will be ready in this city of India

The world's largest cricket stadium is Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. 1.32 lakh fans can watch the match simultaneously in this stadium. At the same time, the capacity of Australia's Melbourne Cricket Ground is also 1 lakh. However, now India is going to get another big cricket stadium, where 1 lakh fans will be able to watch the match together.

This big stadium is going to be built in Mumbai. At present, Wankhede Stadium is the main cricket venue in Mumbai, but its capacity is less.

India's second biggest stadium will be built in Mumbai

Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) President Ajinkya Naik has met Maharashtra government officials to speed up the construction work of a cricket stadium with a capacity of one lakh fans in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). Naik recently held a meeting with officials of the City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Limited (CIDCO).

This long-proposed mega project was discussed in this meeting. This stadium is likely to be built in the Navi Mumbai area and if completed, it will be one of the largest cricket stadiums in India.

Ajinkya Naik said in his statement that this initiative will prove to be a historic step for the sports world of Maharashtra. This stadium with one lakh seats in Mumbai Metropolitan area will not only give new heights to Mumbai cricket but will also give a strong place to the entire Maharashtra on the global sports map.

CM Fadnavis had taken the initiative

Let us tell you, Wankhede Stadium is the main cricket venue in Mumbai, but its capacity is around 33 thousand.

In such a situation, the new one lakh seat stadium will give a new direction to Maharashtra cricket as well as increase the capacity to host big international matches, IPL and other tournaments. The project is also aligned with the vision of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who has stressed on better sports facilities in Maharashtra. MCA President Ajinkya Naik has held several rounds of meetings with CIDCO Managing Director Vijay Singhal and efforts have been intensified to take the land allotment process forward.
If this project is completed on time, it will prove to be a big gift for Mumbai and Maharashtra cricket.
