The South African batter Rassie van der Dussen has announced his international retirement with immediate effect.
The 37-year-old has confirmed that he will continue to play for his domestic side. His statement comes a few days after the South Africa Central contract for 2026-27 was announced. Van der Dussen made his international debut in T20I against Zimbabwe in 2018 before making his ODI debut in 2019.
Having played 71 ODI matches, Rassie van der Dussen scored 2657 at an average of 50.13, which includes six centuries and 17 fifties.
In T20I format, he featured in 57 games and scored 1406 runs at a strike rate of 128.76.“We lived and breathed the game together, and to be the one to carry our family name onto the international stage was a responsibility I was proud to embrace.
