IPL 2026: Lucknow Super Giants' strongest predicted XI against Sunrisers Hyderabad (Source : IPL/BCCI)
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have all to play for when they face the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 10 of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) season at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday, April 5.
LSG will want to bounce back from their opening game defeat at the hands of the Delhi Capitals (DC) in Lucknow. The Super Giants had an underwhelming display with both bat and ball against their North India rivals.
They were asked to bat first by DC, where they managed to put just 141 runs on the board before losing all 10 wickets. None of their batters crossed the 40-run mark, with Abdul Samad and Mitchell Marsh top-scoring 36 and 35, respectively.
DC chased down the total with relative ease, reaching the target with 17 balls and six wickets to spare. Samer Rizvi was the star with the bat for the visitors, scoring an unbeaten 70 off 47 balls. For LSG, Prince Yadav was the only positive with the ball, taking two wickets from three overs.
Despite losing their opening game, LSG will have little reason to make wholesale changes to their lineup against SRH. This means that captain Rishabh Pant is still expected to open the innings alongside Marsh.
Here is LSG’s strongest predicted XI vs SRH, Match 10, IPL 2026: Top Order: Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant (C, WK), Aiden MarkramThree aggressive batters form part of the LSG top order. The major talking point is Pantdeciding to open the innings in their first game of the 2026 IPL season. After a poor season in 2025, moving Pant as an opener not only gives up plenty of balls to face and settle at the crease, but it also provides LSG with a left-hand, right-hand combination.
Marsh is the attacker in this top order, while Aiden Markram is the one in the best form. The latter comes into the tournament on the back of scoring 286 runs at the T20 World Cup at an average of 47.66.
Middle Order: Ayush Badoni, Nicholas Pooran, Abdul Samad, Mukul Choudhary

LSG’s middle order is heavily reliant on the form of Nicholas Pooran due to a lack of experience. The game against DC saw Ayush Badoni get promoted to number four to have a left-hand, right-hand balance.
However, in an ideal scenario, Pooran will most likely bat at number four to be at his destructive best for the most number of deliveries. Samad, meanwhile, will be tasked with finishing duties, with LSG also having the option to use the likes of Shahbaz Ahmed as an Impact Sub if needs must.
Bowlers: Mohsin Khan, Anrich Nortje, Mohammed Shami, Prince Yadav

There is a lot of promise behind LSG’s bowling unit, who would be needed to be at their best against a free-scoring SRH side. Mohammed Shamiwill make a return to the side he was traded from ahead of the start of the 2026 season. The right-arm seamer bowled well against DC, taking the wicket of KL Rahul and going for just 28 runs from his four overs.
Yadav and Mohsin Khan were highly economical in their previous game, giving LSG some confidence on Sunday.
