The Delhi Capitals beat the Mumbai Indians by six wickets in Match 11 of the 2026 Indian Premier League
Put into bat, Mumbai Indians started slowly, losing two early wickets to Mukesh Kumar, who dismissed Ryan Rickelton and Tilak Varma in a span of three balls. After a slow powerplay, Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav stitched together a 52-run partnership.
However, Mumbai were never able to get their innings going as the Delhi bowlers put Mumbai under pressure, picking up key wickets and stalling the run-flow. Suryakumar Yadav, who scored 51, and late efforts from Corbin Bosch and Mitchell Santner took MI to 162/6.
In response, Mumbai removed KL Rahul and Nitish Rana early, but Pathum Nissanka took the attack to the Mumbai bowlers, along with Sameer Rizvi, DC's star performer from the previous game against LSG. They stitched a 66-run partnership, with Nissanka the aggressor, before Rizvi got going as well as Nissanka fell to Santner fro 44.
In walked David Miller, who was largely a spectator, as Rizvi simply took off, taking down the Mumbai bowlers in a brutal display of hitting. The pair put on a 78-run partnership, with Miller just scoring 11 runs. Rizvi was dismissed for a brilliant 90 off just 51 balls, consisting of seven fours and as many maximums. Miller, who was joined by Tristan Stubbs, took the Capitals home with eleven balls to spare, their second victory of the tournament.
