Indian Team Semi final Venue : A big decision has been taken regarding the semi-final matches in the T20 World Cup. According to reports, if Team India reaches the semi-finals, then they will play their semi-final match in Guyana on June 27. This will be the second semi-final match of the tournament. Apart from this, full care has been taken keeping the Indian fans in mind. The second semi-final match will be played from 8:30 pm Indian time, so that if Team India qualifies, Indian fans will not face any problem and can watch the match at the right timing.

The second semi-final match will start at 10:30 am local time and at that time it will be 8 pm in India. For this reason, if the Indian team qualifies in the semi-finals, then it will play the second semi-final only. Apart from this, Team India will play only one warm-up match.

There is no reserve day for the second semi-final match

The first semi-final match of the T20 World Cup will be played in Trinidad on June 26. However, the surprising thing is that 190 extra minutes and a reserve day have been kept for the first semi-final but there is no reserve day for the second semi-final.

Cricbuzz has given detailed information about this in one of its reports citing ICC. According to this, June 26 has been kept as a reserve day for the first semi-final to be held in Trinidad at 8.30 pm (June 27 at 6 am in India). However, no reserve day has been kept for the match to be held on June 27 in Guyana at 10.30 am (8 pm in India). Whereas to complete this second semi-final in rainy conditions, 4 hours 10 minutes i.e. about 250 minutes extra have been given.

According to the schedule, both the semi-finals are to be played on June 26 and 27 respectively. Then the final is on 29th June. If the second semi-final goes to the reserve day i.e. 28th June and the by chance ends somewhere late, then the final is held again the next day. In such a situation, the other finalists may have to play knockout matches for two consecutive days. This is the reason why the second semi-final could not get a reserve day.
