Shreyas Iyer Six Against Rahul Chahar: Punjab Kings (PBKS) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 5 wickets in the 7th match of IPL 2026 played at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Friday (April 3). With this victory, Punjab has reached the top of the points table. Captain Shreyas Iyer also played an important role in this victory of Punjab and scored a brilliant half-century.
Iyer played a stormy innings of 50 runs in 29 balls before getting out. During his innings, 4 fours and 3 skyscraper sixes were also seen. Out of these 3, there was one six which you would like to see not just once but again and again. This six of his was seen on the third ball of the 13th over. Rahul Chahar was bowling this over and he bowled a flighted ball outside the off stump, on which Iyer hit a six over the covers which stunned everyone. You can watch the video of his six below.
Talking about this match, after being invited to bat first, Chennai scored 209 runs at the loss of 5 wickets. In which Ayush Mhatre scored 73 runs in 43 balls, Shivam Dubey scored unbeaten 45 runs in 27 balls and Sarfaraz Khan scored 32 runs in 12 balls. In reply, Punjab won by losing 5 wickets in 18.4 overs. Captain Shreyas Iyer scored 50 runs in 29 balls, Prabhasmiran Singh scored 43 runs in 34 balls, Priyansh Arya scored 39 runs in 11 balls.
This is Punjab’s second consecutive win and has overtaken Rajasthan Royals to become number one. Punjab’s net run rate has become +0.637. At the same time, Chennai remains at the bottom tenth position after its second consecutive defeat. Chennai’s net run rate has fallen to -2.562. Rajasthan, RCB, Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians have played one match each and are at second, third, fourth and fifth positions respectively. Sunrisers Hyderabad has won one and lost one in two matches and the team is at sixth position in the points table.
