He said, “Before I went to bat, I watched the video of Dale Steyn's bowling 100 times. Steyn is a great cricketer and what he has achieved is amazing. I have faced him many times and have not had much success but it was a great experience playing against him. He is a fast bowler and the speed at which he used to swing the ball was not easy to play. It was very difficult to bat against him and Steyn was a very strong competitor.”
If we talk about Steyn, he is counted among the great fast bowlers of the world. Steyn, who played for South Africa, has currently retired from international cricket. He has played 93 test matches for the Proteas and has taken 439 wickets during this period. Apart from this, he has taken 196 wickets in his name while playing 125 ODI matches.
