Mukul Choudhary stuns KKR, takes LSG to a 3-wicket win at Eden Gardens

Mukul Choudhary single-handedly took Lucknow Super Giants to a 3-wicket win over the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens. LSG were 128 for 7 after 16 overs and were miles away from a victory, but sensational hitting by Mukul changed everything. He scored an unbeaten 54 runs in 27 balls, including 7 sixes and 2 fours.

Vaibhav Arora (2 wickets), Ankul Roy (2 wickets), Sunil Narine (1 wicket), Kartik Tyagi (1 wicket) and Cameron Green (1 wicket) kept the rival batters under control.

For Lucknow, Ayush Badoni scored 54 runs off 34 balls, laced with 7 fours and 2 sixes. Apart from him, Aiden Markram (22), Mitchell Marsh (15), Nicholas Pooran (13) and Rishabh Pant (10) entered the double-digit mark but couldn’t carry on. However, Mukul completed the task in 20 overs.

Earlier, KKR batters finally got their act right and took the team to a competitive total. Finn Allen (9) registered another failure, but captain Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi added 84 runs for the second wicket.

Rahane amassed 41 runs off 24 deliveries, with the help of 4 fours and 2 sixes. Raghuvanshi’s 45 runs came in 33 balls, laced with 5 boundaries and 2 maximums. Green was impressive with the bat, managing 24-ball 32, with 3 fours and 1 six to his name.

Rovam Powell was unstoppable in the death overs, amassing 24-ball 39, packed with 4 boundaries and 2 sixes.

For Lucknow, Prince Yadav, Avesh Khan, Digvesh Rathi and Manimaran Siddharth took one wicket each.

Lucknow Super Giants have four points from three games while the Kolkata Knight Riders are on one point from four outings in the Indian Premier League 2026.
