Delhi: The 16th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 saw an exciting clash between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium. In this high-scoring match, Rajasthan Royals performed brilliantly and won by 6 wickets.

Powerful run chase of Rajasthan Royals

Even though Rajasthan Royals had a bad start while chasing the target, later the young batsmen completely changed the course of the match.

Yashasvi Jaiswal returned to the pavilion after scoring only 13 runs. After this, Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Dhruv Jurel displayed explosive batting and put pressure on the RCB bowlers.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi played a stormy innings of 78 runs in just 26 balls. During this, he hit 8 fours and 7 sixes and his strike rate was around 300. RCB bowlers looked completely helpless in front of his aggressive batting. At the same time, Dhruv Jurel, while holding one end, scored a brilliant unbeaten 81 runs and took the team to victory.

rcb innings

Earlier, Royal Challengers Bangalore, batting first, scored 201 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Despite the initial setbacks, captain Rajat Patidar managed the innings and scored an excellent half-century. He scored 63 runs in 40 balls, which included 4 fours and 4 sixes.

Virat Kohli made a good start, but could not convert it into a big score and was out after scoring 32 runs in 16 balls. Venkatesh Iyer contributed 29 unbeaten runs in the end, while Romario Shepherd added 22 runs.

However, the team’s total score also could not prove to be enough for victory.

Historical record of Ravindra Jadeja

In this match, Rajasthan Royals star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja made a special achievement in his name. He completed his 4000 runs in T20 cricket and along with it also made a big record. Jadeja has now become the second Indian player in the world to take 4000 runs and 200 wickets in T20 cricket. Before him, only Hardik Pandya had achieved this feat.

Jadeja also performed impressively in bowling and got the important wicket of Romario Shepherd by giving just 14 runs in 2 overs.
