Game Desk: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar admitted after the 6-wicket defeat against Rajasthan Royals (RR) that the biggest difference in the match was made by the powerplay batting, especially the aggressive innings of Vaibhav Suryavanshi.

In this match played in Guwahati, RR batted brilliantly while chasing the target of 202 runs. Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 78 runs in 26 balls, while Dhruv Jurel played a match-winning inning of 81 not out. Both the batsmen put pressure on the RCB bowlers from the very beginning, due to which RR scored a strong score of 97/1 in just 6 overs.

After the match, Patidar said that RR’s batting, especially the impact of Vaibhav Suryavanshi in the powerplay, was the turning point of the match. He admitted that the team needs to learn from this defeat, although the early wicket and the score of 201/8 is also a positive sign.

Batting first, RCB scored 201/8 runs in 20 overs despite initial setbacks. Captain Patidar led the team by playing an inning of 63 runs, while Venkatesh Iyer scored a quick 29 runs.

However, RR made a brilliant run chase to achieve the target in 18 overs and register their fourth consecutive win, while RCB suffered their first defeat of the season.
